setting work that would be working on is a configuration of up career counseling. Realizing that most young people have found it difficult to find their career path, I felt it important to involve a group of young people to ensure that they understand the importance of choosing a career that suits their interest. In their early career development, young people find it difficult to choose the career that suits their qualification (Zunker, 2006). This is mainly due to the lack of knowledge on the process of career choice. They are not well the power to choose career that suits their strengths. Therefore, in this particular exercise, I will work with a group of young people from different cultural contexts in which I recommend them on career choice. I will look into the theories of career counseling appropriate to involve young people using the most appropriate framework. I will use two main theories, systems theory and social learning theory framework of career decision making.
The Systems Theory Framework (STF) can be defined as a theoretical foundation that represents the best system of influence on people career development that include individual, social and environmental contexts / social (Zapuzzi & Stauffer, 2005). And ‘one of the most important theories that can be used for the multicultural approach to career counseling. This theory has been used by career counselors to expand their role and level of intervention especially in multicultural career counseling. Through the use of this theory, the consultants are able to analyze the elements of the social, personal and economic within which individuals operate and the way in which elements refers to larger systems. This means that this theory examines the interconnections between the internal and external variables that impact on individual careers. On the other hand, social learning theory of career decision (SLTCDM) integrates practical ideas, research, and procedures to provide an analysis of the reasons why people pursue as a career. This theory focuses primarily on teaching clients alternative decision-making and makes use of the concept of triadic reciprocal interaction. The main ways in which counselors can use this theory for both the reinforcement and modeling (Zapuzzi & Stauffer, 2005). This theory therefore allows the consultant to identify and correct misconceptions about careers that are held by clients in decision-making career. It helps to explain why people come into the work, why and how to change career direction in line, because to express preferences for a career as dates and others. Both theories are similar in that they are used to help people make career choices. They are important framework that helps individuals assess their strengths and weaknesses in their careers and make an appropriate choice. However, they differ in several aspects. While it appears in the STF interconnections between the internal and external variables, SLTCDM investigates the factors that influence the decision to have a career.Post comments on the career theories of Career Counseling.
